Assistant Programme Coordinator/Child Protection Officer
One Brick at a Time is surely a great opportunity for me since it has given me a wider view of the society and community that I live in, actually of my home Fort Portal.
Though I hold a Degree in Banking and Development Finance, OBAAT has opened yet another talent in me of writing; through writing proposals, reports among others of the different projects that we undertake at One Brick at a Time.
I work as the Assistant Coordinator/ Child Protection Officer and I enjoy my work. Looking forward to greater opportunities as we continue to work for the community in Rwenzori Region.
All along my professional career, I was interested to work with aid relief and helping the others, initially for one year. After working for many years for private companies in projects involving construction of large buildings and hospitals, when it was time to start a new project I jumped out. I left my job and started applying to humanitarian work until I found VMM International. Now, working for OBAAT as programme manager has been amazing, the challenges are many but the satisfaction when we deliver a project to the community is immense. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to work together with my team to deliver more and more projects to Uganda. Webale muno!
I love my job and have strong passion for numbers; I am responsible for managing One Brick at a Time documentation, stationary and proper filing of all the finance payment vouchers and data entry.
I have a bachelor of Business degree in Business Management and have one year of professional experience with One Brick at a Time. I enjoy the opportunities that I have each day to interact with different people both locally and internationally.
Since I joined One Brick at a Time and I have never looked back because it opened my eyes and I believe whatever contribution I make counts.
I am the project manager of One Brick at a Time in Fort Portal Uganda,
I have joined OBAAT in 2010 as a trainee from St Joseph Technical Institute in the St Peter and Paul Primary School training project. Then I carried on working with OBAAT as temporary staff until 2012 when I was being promoted as assistant project manager. Again in February 2014 I have got the promotion of project manager.
NB: My work is to manage projects in the field, purchasing materials, making bills of quantities and also to instruct the students on the training projects.
Long live Donors! Long leave One Brick at a Time!
